Summary
SpotOn is a cloud-based clipping tool developed for Triple that allows users to create, edit, and share clips from livestreams. My task was to design and develop a Progressive Web App (PWA) version, providing a mobile-friendly alternative to the existing web app.

Problem & Solution
SpotOn's native app required multiple teams for platform-specific development, making updates and maintenance inefficient.
I developed a PWA to replace the native app, enabling cross-platform functionality using a single codebase. The PWA simplifies maintenance and provides a seamless experience for users across devices.
Project Goals
User Experience
Maintain the functionality of the native app while optimizing for mobile devices.
Performance & Scalability
Ensure the PWA performs efficiently and can handle increasing user demands.
Cross-Platform Accessibility
Create a PWA that works across iOS, Android, and web, minimizing the need for separate development teams.

Challenges
Building the SpotOn PWA required balancing code maintainability and user experience. One major challenge was ensuring smooth offline functionality and fast loading times. Additionally, user interface adjustments were needed to enhance usability on smaller screens, while keeping the experience consistent with the desktop version.
Further Development
After my internship, I continued working on further enhancing the SpotOn tool. My post-internship efforts focused on expanding the PWA’s functionality by adding new features such as clip cropping, trimming, and advanced filtering.
I also worked on improving performance and scalability, ensuring that SpotOn could handle a growing number of users and clips. My ongoing involvement with the project has allowed me to refine the tool, making it a key part of the workflow for major clients like Talpa, NPO, and Vodafone.
